???: Hey, it’s okay to admit it. You don’t have to face your problems alone.

The boy leans toward Keira in an attempt to be supportive, but she looks away from him and pulls the jacket tighter around her shoulders.

Keira: I-I’m fine! And I’m not alone….Uh, sort of.

Keira, still not meeting his gaze, fiddles with the jacket and pulls one arm through a sleeve.

???, to himself with a complicated smile: Yeah, I know the feeling.

But her turns back to her quickly and with a warm smile, offering his hand out to her.

???: Oh, I’m Garrett, by the way.

Keira: Keira.

Keira shakes Garrett’s proffered hand, glad for a  to be moving on from the difficult topic of conversation.

Garrett: Nice to meet you, Keira.
