I am Loni, and this is my sister, Leila.

Loni seems rather offended by Keira’s blatant prejudice, but as a matter of pride rather than that of anger. His sister, however, smiles as if they are making progress.

Leila: Do you have a name?

Keira shifts uncomfortably, not knowing how to act in this bizarre turn of events.

Keira: Of course I do…I-It’s Keira. And that’s Irene.

Loni turns his attention to Irene, who is still nearby after her brief confrontation. 

Loni: I thought only the little ones attracted companion spirits. Unless you delayed your merging somehow. Was it intentional, or were you-

Keira silences him with a glare. Truce or no, she was not about to have this conversation with strangers who weren’t even human.
