There’s a heavy and awkward silence, like something should be said but Keira’s too preoccupied with her thoughts to oblige. But she’s more than ready to leave.

Keira: Well…goodbye, I guess.

She turns and starts walking away, but Leila calls after her.

Leila: But you’ll come back, right?

Keira, taken aback: Eh?

Leila: It’s been a while since we last spoke with a human. It would be nice to see you again!

Keira waves awkwardly, her smile forced.

Keira, unconvincingly: Uhh….Yeah, sure. We will totally do that.
