The spirit on Tyler’s shoulder wears layered clothing that looks as though it was made by hand. Their wrists and waist are decorated with beads that match two of Tyler’s bracelets, while a pouch and two small leaves hang on either hip. Their hair is long, as are their ears, and their soft eyes lack any sort of visible pupil. They have dragonfly-like wings that are torn and tattered.

NARRATION: We’ve seen them before, of course. But always with children, not someone my own age.

The spirit’s gaze flicks to the size, passing over Irene for the briefest moment of eye contact. Irene panics in flustered alarm, and vanishes from where she hovered by them to reappear at Keira’s other side. She glances back to the other fairy-like companion, but they’re looking ahead as though still unaware of her presence. 

NARRATION: It made us wonder.

Irene watches, her expression is suspicious and uncertain.
