Chapter End Announcements

That concludes Chapter Three! I can't believe how long it's taken to get here, But I've improved a lot as both artist and storyteller for it. I love doing this so much, and I appreciate you all for letting me share it with you. Real quick, I've got a few announcements and housekeeping notes:

INTERMISSION

I'll be taking a brief rest as I prepare for the next chapter. I can't say yet how long that will be exactly, but there will be Status Updates and Previews in the meantime...And MAYBE some Extras 😉 Keep an eye on website News & my socials for those!

ONLINE STORE

Printed paperback books (PDFs too) for Chapters 1 & 2 are available (and on sale during the intermission) at my store for $12 USD each! PDF downloads for all three chapters are also available for $5 USD each.
1st Edition books are available immediately for U.S. Shipping. 2nd Edition (improved book binding plus art revisions) will be available for Pre-Order by the end of the year (fingers crossed!).

PATREON

I now have a Patreon!!! It's to support my combined artistic endeavors, but will include for Second Sight: Early access to updates, Patreon-Exclusive supplemental and behind the scenes content... some of which will be made free after a wait period for non-patron subscribers. 😉
Which reminds me! There'll be all-access polls to vote on Halloween costumes for chapter 4! 😀

CHAPTER ONE REVISIONS

You'll (hopefully) have seen a few notifications for these already, but I've been re-working some of the art and writing in the first chapter during the Intermission. It'll definitely be worth a re-read while you wait for chapter 4 to get started! (Note: these changes will NOT be present in the already printed first edition books but WILL be in the second editions.)

Thanks for actually reading through all that! Here’s a doodle, as a treat:

Love you all, drink some water, and see you soon!

RETURN + RECAP!

A Portrait drawing of the creator. Blue-green hair and eyes, pale skin, sleeveless crewneck shirt and a playful smile.

It's good to be back.

I can't believe it's been almost two YEARS since you've all last heard from me. There's been a lot going on that I'll get into a little, but the exciting part is that Second Sight will be returning in April 2022!

EmGee (artist): Hey Folks, it’s been a while! Due to personal circumstances, I haven’t been able to update in, ah, let’s see…. *checks calendar* Two years!?! YEARS??? I’m so sorry!!!

There’s no way anyone’s still actually following after so much time, right? (If you are, you’re amazing but why are you still here lol ^^;)

If there’s ever another stupidly long hiatus, please rest assured that I won’t ever abandon this webcomic! It’s a story that’s very close to my heart and already planned out through to the end.

Thank you so much!

That being said, let’s do a quick recap since it’s been TWO FREAKING YEARS. (or you can go ahead and skip to the next actual page via the link below~)

CHAPTER ONE

Keira moves to a new town due to family conflict, possibly related to the fact that she sees things which aren’t there. Things such as her fairy-like companion and confidant, Irene.

Keira is saved from being (accidentally?) drowned by aquatic beings. She and Garrett bond over this experience. After Garrett leaves, her assailants return to apologize and introduce themselves as Leila and Loni, sibling naiads. They seem genuine, but Keira is still wary of them.

CHAPTER TWO

It’s Keira’s first day at a new high school. She’s shown around by Erin and her friend Rhys. It shouldn’t have surprised her that Garrett also goes to school here.

But he’s…different here. Evasive and aloof. Erin warns Keira to steer clear of him and his crowd.

Erin: Trust me, kiddo. You don’t want to get involved with the likes of them.

Keira approaches him anyway and gets bullied for her efforts.

Keira: You’re only human, Chelsea. I’ve dealt with far worse than the likes of you.

Garrett tells Keira that rescuing her doesn’t mean he owes her his friendship…though he seems conflicted.

Garrett: Look, I…I know what it’s like to feel alone. So if you can keep it a secret, we can still talk at the park, alright?

Keira doesn’t take it well, and Erin overhears everything.

Keira: This time they don’t even know I’m crazy.

CHAPTER THREE (SO FAR)

Despite her intention to never return, Keira sits at the edge of Leila and Loni’s pond, covered in small wounds.

★ Website & Tapas Launch ★

The website for Second Sight is officially up and running! A few things worth noting:

  • If you’re landing here from WEBTOON, you’ll notice that the pages here are formatted for print instead of the scrolling format you’re used to. There’s no “official” version, follow whichever version you prefer! Both website and app will update on the same day and with the same amount.
  • If you’d like to be notified of when Second Sight updates, you can get the RSS feed or subscribe for email notifications there in the footer. There’s also the usual Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr updates as well. 🙂
  • The brand new Extras page has additional art for you to check out, as well as a section to highlight fanart and the like.
  • Though this website design is responsive, the size of the comic pages on mobile devices makes the dialogue difficult to read. If you’re on a computer or tablet you’re good to go, but for viewing on a phone the Webtoon or Tapas apps are recommended.

I’m also putting Second Sight up on Tapas – this will occur shortly after the website launch and I’ll plug the links then. Mostly because people have their preferred webcomic viewing method (I certainly do, anyway) and I want to give people the option to read Second Sight however they like best. UNLIKE this website, Tapas will use the scrolling version and start from the beginning with weekly updates.

Creator Comments

Welcome to the website, guys! 😀 There's bound to be a few tweaks here and there - I left a bunch of minor fixes that could wait until after Rose City Comic Con. Lemme know if you find anything broken, m'kay?
