It's good to be back.
I can't believe it's been almost two YEARS since you've all last heard from me. There's been a lot going on that I'll get into a little, but the exciting part is that Second Sight will be returning in April 2022!
EmGee (artist): Hey Folks, it’s been a while! Due to personal circumstances, I haven’t been able to update in, ah, let’s see…. *checks calendar* Two years!?! YEARS??? I’m so sorry!!!Â
There’s no way anyone’s still actually following after so much time, right? (If you are, you’re amazing but why are you still here lol ^^;)
If there’s ever another stupidly long hiatus, please rest assured that I won’t ever abandon this webcomic! It’s a story that’s very close to my heart and already planned out through to the end.
Thank you so much!
That being said, let’s do a quick recap since it’s been TWO FREAKING YEARS. (or you can go ahead and skip to the next actual page via the link below~)
CHAPTER ONE
Keira moves to a new town due to family conflict, possibly related to the fact that she sees things which aren’t there. Things such as her fairy-like companion and confidant, Irene.
Keira is saved from being (accidentally?) drowned by aquatic beings. She and Garrett bond over this experience. After Garrett leaves, her assailants return to apologize and introduce themselves as Leila and Loni, sibling naiads. They seem genuine, but Keira is still wary of them.
CHAPTER TWO
It’s Keira’s first day at a new high school. She’s shown around by Erin and her friend Rhys. It shouldn’t have surprised her that Garrett also goes to school here.
But he’s…different here. Evasive and aloof. Erin warns Keira to steer clear of him and his crowd.
Erin: Trust me, kiddo. You don’t want to get involved with the likes of them.
Keira approaches him anyway and gets bullied for her efforts.
Keira: You’re only human, Chelsea. I’ve dealt with far worse than the likes of you.
Garrett tells Keira that rescuing her doesn’t mean he owes her his friendship…though he seems conflicted.
Garrett: Look, I…I know what it’s like to feel alone. So if you can keep it a secret, we can still talk at the park, alright?
Keira doesn’t take it well, and Erin overhears everything.
Keira: This time they don’t even know I’m crazy.
CHAPTER THREE (SO FAR)
Despite her intention to never return, Keira sits at the edge of Leila and Loni’s pond, covered in small wounds.
